The Tougaloo Art Colony, a weeklong indulgence in the visual arts for artists, art educators and art students, continues through Friday at the college. An open house Thursday night shares the week’s creative explorations with the public.

Its reach even extends internationally, with five participants from the University of Guyana. “We get a lot of exposure and are able to communicate back home with our colleagues about works we did here,” said Damian Moore of Guyana. “Interaction with other artists has a really good impact on our outlook on art in North America.”
