DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have signed rookie free agent swingman Rawle Marshall. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Rawle is a young player with a tremendous upside. We are excited about his length, athleticism and potential for growth,” said President of Basketball Operations/Assistant Coach Donnie Nelson.
Marshall (6-7, 190) played for the Mavericks in the 2005 Rocky Mountain Revue after appearing in four games for the Memphis Grizzlies in the Southern California Summer Pro League. In five games with Dallas, he averaged 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in a team-high 27.4 minutes per game. Marshall also averaged 1.80 steals per game, which ranked him third among all players in the Rocky Mountain Revue.
Although he was born in Guyana, Marshall moved to New York when he was four and later attended high school in Detroit.
