BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - Prime Minister Owen Arthur has made a strong appeal to Barbadians for “fairness” in dealing with Guyanese immigrants and also denounced their “exploitation” of them by some employers, taking advantage of those without legal status in the country.
Arthur’s plea came at the weekend as emotional criticisms in the local print and electronic media criticised the continuing rise in Guyanese arrivals, and complaints of wrongful denial of entry for some Guyanese nationals coming through the Grantley Adams International Airport >>> more
