Guyana Chronicle: A 17-YEAR-OLD Queen’s College student, with 12 Grade Ones, has emerged the top student at this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams, offered by the Caribbean Examinations Council.

“I was shocked. I thought I would have done good; but topping, that is really cool,” Shirvanie Persaud, of Lot 45 North Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara, said yesterday after learning of her results.
