Dear Sir/Madam,
I am sitting here wondering when Dr,Gobin will apologise for killing my sister BEVERLY ANN LEWIS.
This is the 20th century,do women still die from child’s birth? NO,only in the event of negligence on the Doctors and that is exactly what happen in my sisters case.It is time Dr,Gobin’s medical license be revoked.Patients like my sister and others put their lives in Dr,Gobin’s hands and he kill them and nothing is being done.He take away loveones from us and left us in grief especially the kids that these women left behind.

SPEAKING OUT FOR THE DEAD>
i have read a comment from Dr.Gobin on Cytotec
in his own words said ,i do not know of anyone who has lost her live as a result of using Cytotec. The worst,in our country it can cause tremendous bleeding. He then stated that this drug should be used under supervision.
Well people my sister was given Cytotec to induce labour and she died from the same said complications hemmorage(tremendous bleeding),and where was Dr.Gobin to supervise the administration of the Cytotec to my sister, whe was at dinner while my sister lay in the hospital bed scared and bleed to death.
I think is time something be done, but nothing may never happen because of the system in guyana.(we all as guyanese believe in the system but the system fail us)

Cytotec: Safe for inducing labor?

Live discussions on the Labor and Delivery message board
• Cytotec To Induce Labor
• Epidural??
• What are my drug options?
It is becoming more common for hospitals to use Cytotec (misoprostol or prostaglandin E1) to ripen a woman’s cervix and induce labor. Cytotec is a small pill that can be taken orally or broken in pieces and inserted vaginally.
There are growing concerns about the safety of this drug when used for labor induction. A November 1999 Committee Opinion of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) warns: “There have been reports of uterine rupture following misoprostol use for cervical ripening in patients with prior uterine surgery. Thus, until reassuring studies are available, misoprostol is not recommended for cervical ripening in patients who have had prior cesarean delivery or major uterine surgery” (1).
Cytotec’s only FDA-approved use is treating ulcers. In August 2000, Searle, Cytotec’s manufacturer, sent physicians a letter reminding them that Cytotec was not approved for use as a cervical ripening agent and that it was contraindicated for use in pregnancy (14). The letter listed serious adverse effects associated with using Cytotec, including maternal or fetal death, uterine rupture, and severe vaginal bleeding and shock.

Dr.Gobin the adove information is for you to EDUCATE yourself on CYTOTEC AND STOP USING IT TO INDUCE LABOUR unless, you have done so many ABORTIONS that it is telling on your sick mind and you don’t care and you are a serial killer, in that case i think you need a good PSYCHIATRIST .Do you question your patients before administering CYTOTEC,because it clearly states that CYTOTEC is ONLY FDA approved for STOMACH ULCER,also should not be given to women whom have had C-SECTION OR UTERINE SURGERY.To my knowledge my sister BEVERLY ANN LEWIS have had at least (1) one c-section in her life time.
